Marlstone Cottage
The cottage is a stylish self catering accommodation, recently restored with authentic material.
The cottage is located just outside of Valkenburg aan de Geul (South-Limburg) and is the ideal starting point for a relaxing stay in the hills of South-Limburg. The house is situated in a quiet and very rural area, on a country road, where you can enjoy your privacy and tranquillity.
The house is completely free standing and is part of a former farmhouse built of marlstone from the year 1799. The apartment is, as its name perhaps suggests, also built of marl stones ... As Limburg-like as it gets!
The building was once used as a workplace combined with an oven, hence the name on the sign above the door "the bakery".
Now it is a comfortable home, with much care and attention to detail and equipped with every modern comfort.
Interior and exterior surprise many attractive details such as a large fireplace and lovely old wooden stairs.
The cozy garden terrace is facing south.
Suitable for families or a business trip (Internet). Ideal for a weekend, short break during the week or longer stay in the beautiful countryside for walking or cycling (mountain bike), or visit the Amstel Gold Race, Maastricht and the Christmas market in the underground marl caves (Christmas Town Valkenburg).
